Sultan Muhammad V
Sultan Muhammad V was the 15th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, serving from December 2016 until January 2019. He was born on October 2, 1969, in Kota Bharu, Kelantan. As a member of the royal family, he became the Sultan of Kelantan in 2010 and was elected as the Agong by the Conference of Rulers, which consists of the nine Malay state rulers.
During his reign, Sultan Muhammad V focused on promoting unity and harmony among the diverse communities in Malaysia. He also emphasized the importance of education and social welfare. In January 2019, he made headlines by stepping down from the throne, becoming the first Agong to do so before completing a five-year term.
