Sultan Mohammed IV
Sultan Mohammed IV was the ruler of the Ottoman Empire from 1648 to 1687. He ascended to the throne at a young age and faced numerous challenges, including military conflicts and internal strife. His reign is noted for attempts to reform the empire's administration and military, although these efforts met with mixed success.
During his rule, the Ottoman Empire experienced significant territorial losses, particularly in the Great Turkish War against the Habsburg Monarchy. Mohammed IV was eventually deposed in 1687, leading to a period of instability and further challenges for the empire. His legacy is marked by both ambition and the difficulties of governing a vast empire.
