Subaru Telescope
The Subaru Telescope is a large optical and near-infrared telescope located on the summit of Mauna Kea in Hawaii. Operated by the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, it features a primary mirror that measures 8.2 meters in diameter, making it one of the largest telescopes in the world. The telescope is designed for a variety of astronomical research, including the study of distant galaxies, stars, and exoplanets.
Since its inauguration in 1999, the Subaru Telescope has contributed significantly to our understanding of the universe. It is equipped with advanced instruments that allow astronomers to capture high-resolution images and conduct detailed spectroscopic studies. The telescope's unique location at a high altitude provides excellent observing conditions, minimizing atmospheric interference.
