Styracosaurus
Styracosaurus was a large herbivorous dinosaur that lived during the late Cretaceous period, around 75 million years ago. It belonged to the family of ceratopsians, which are known for their distinctive horns and frills. Styracosaurus is particularly recognized for its impressive single horn on its nose and several long spikes extending from its frill, giving it a striking appearance.
This dinosaur could grow up to 18 feet long and weighed around 3 tons. It likely roamed in herds, feeding on low-lying vegetation. Fossils of Styracosaurus have been found primarily in North America, providing valuable insights into the diversity of dinosaurs during its time.
