Stymphalian Birds
The Stymphalian Birds are mythical creatures from ancient Greek mythology, specifically associated with the Labors of Hercules. These birds are described as man-eating and have metallic feathers that can be shot like arrows. They lived in a marsh near Lake Stymphalia in the region of Arcadia.
As part of his sixth labor, Hercules was tasked with driving the Stymphalian Birds away. To accomplish this, he used a special rattle given to him by Athena to scare the birds into the air, where he could then shoot them down with his bow and arrows.
