Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center
The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center is an extension of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum located in Chantilly, Virginia. Opened in 2003, it houses a vast collection of aviation and space artifacts, including the Space Shuttle Discovery and the Enola Gay. The center serves as a place for visitors to learn about the history and technology of flight.
In addition to its impressive displays, the center features an observation tower that offers views of Washington Dulles International Airport. The facility also includes a restoration hangar, where visitors can see the process of restoring historic aircraft and spacecraft.
