Steve Lindsey is a retired NASA astronaut and a veteran of five spaceflights. He was born on March 24, 1956, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Lindsey earned a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy and later received a master's degree in Flight Test Engineering from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School.
During his career, Lindsey served as a pilot and commander on various missions, including the Space Shuttle program. He has logged over 1,500 hours in space and contributed to significant projects, such as the assembly of the International Space Station. After retiring from NASA, he continued to work in the aerospace industry.
