Stereophonics is a Welsh rock band formed in 1992 in Cwmaman, Wales. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Kelly Jones, bassist Richard Jones, and drummer Jamie Morrison. They are known for their blend of rock, pop, and alternative music, with a distinctive sound characterized by emotive lyrics and catchy melodies. The band gained fame with their debut album, Word Gets Around, released in 1997. Over the years, Stereophonics has released several successful albums, including Performance and Cocktails and Just Enough Education to Perform. They have a loyal fan base and continue to tour and produce new music.
