Stephen Lewis
Stephen Lewis is a Canadian politician, diplomat, and humanitarian known for his work in global health and development. He served as the United Nations Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa from 2001 to 2006, where he focused on addressing the impact of the HIV/AIDS epidemic on the continent. Lewis has also held various political positions, including serving as the leader of the Ontario New Democratic Party.
In addition to his political career, Lewis is a co-founder of the Stephen Lewis Foundation, which supports community-based organizations in Africa working to combat the effects of HIV/AIDS.
