Steiner Triple System
A Steiner Triple System is a specific type of combinatorial design that organizes a set of elements into triples. Each pair of elements appears together in exactly one triple. This system is useful in various fields, including design theory and error-correcting codes, as it helps in efficiently arranging data.
In a Steiner Triple System, the total number of elements must be congruent to 1 or 3 modulo 6. For example, a system with 7 elements can be formed, where the triples are 1, 2, 3, 1, 4, 5, 1, 6, 7, and so on. This structure ensures balanced and systematic combinations.
