Stefan Lazarević
Stefan Lazarević was a Serbian prince and military leader born in 1377. He was the son of Prince Lazar Hrebeljanović, a key figure in Serbian history. Stefan is best known for his role in the Battle of Kosovo in 1389, where he fought against the Ottoman Empire. After his father's death, he became the ruler of the Serbian despotate and worked to strengthen his territory.
Stefan Lazarević ruled from 1402 until his death in 1427. He was known for his efforts to promote culture and education, establishing the Despotate of Serbia as a center of learning. His reign is often remembered for its contributions to Serbian art and literature, as well as for maintaining relative stability during a turbulent period.
