Stay-Behind Networks
Stay-Behind Networks are secretive groups established during the Cold War, primarily in Europe, to counter potential threats from the Soviet Union. These networks were designed to remain inactive until needed, often involving military and intelligence personnel who could mobilize in case of an invasion or occupation.
These networks operated independently of official government structures, allowing for covert operations and resistance activities. They were equipped with weapons, supplies, and communication tools to support guerrilla warfare and sabotage efforts against occupying forces, ensuring that local populations could resist and disrupt enemy control.
