States General
The States General is the legislative body of the Netherlands, responsible for making laws and overseeing the government. It consists of two chambers: the House of Representatives, which has 150 members elected by the public, and the Senate, with 75 members chosen by the provincial legislatures.
The States General plays a crucial role in the Dutch political system, debating and approving legislation, as well as scrutinizing the actions of the Prime Minister and the cabinet. This body ensures that the government remains accountable to the citizens and operates within the framework of the law.
