State Guard
A State Guard is a military organization that operates under the authority of a state government in the United States. Unlike the National Guard, which can be federalized, State Guards are typically focused on local emergencies, disaster response, and community support. They often assist in search and rescue operations, provide medical aid, and help maintain public safety during crises.
State Guards are composed of volunteers who receive training in various skills relevant to emergency management. Each state has its own State Guard, and they work alongside other emergency services, such as fire departments and police forces, to ensure the safety and well-being of their communities.
