Stanislaus Kostka
Stanislaus Kostka was a Polish nobleman born on December 28, 1550, in the Kingdom of Poland. He is best known as a Jesuit saint, recognized for his deep spirituality and commitment to the Catholic faith. At a young age, he felt a strong calling to religious life, which led him to join the Society of Jesus, also known as the Jesuits, despite opposition from his family.
Kostka's life was marked by his dedication to prayer and study. He died on August 15, 1568, at the age of 17, shortly after entering the Jesuit order. He was canonized by Pope Benedict XIII in 1726, and his feast day is celebrated on November 13.
