Stabilizer Bar
A stabilizer bar, also known as a sway bar, is a component of a vehicle's suspension system. Its primary function is to reduce body roll during cornering, helping to keep the vehicle stable and improve handling. By connecting the left and right wheels, it distributes the forces experienced during turns, enhancing overall driving safety.
Typically made of steel or aluminum, the stabilizer bar is designed to flex under load. When one wheel encounters a bump or dip, the bar helps to transfer some of that movement to the opposite wheel, maintaining better contact with the road. This contributes to a smoother ride and improved traction, especially in vehicles like cars and trucks.
