St. Therese of Lisieux
St. Therese of Lisieux, also known as the "Little Flower," was a French nun born on January 2, 1873. She joined the Carmelite Order at a young age and is known for her simple yet profound spirituality. Therese emphasized the importance of love and trust in God, advocating for a "little way" of spiritual growth through small acts of kindness.
She passed away on September 30, 1897, at the age of 24, after a battle with tuberculosis. St. Therese was canonized as a saint by Pope Pius XI in 1925 and is the patron saint of missionaries and florists. Her writings, particularly "Story of a Soul," continue to inspire many.
