St. Remigius
St. Remigius, also known as St. Remi, was a 5th-century bishop of Reims in modern-day France. He is best known for baptizing the Frankish king Clovis I, which marked the beginning of the Christianization of the Frankish people. His feast day is celebrated on January 13.
Remigius played a significant role in the early spread of Christianity in Gaul. He is often depicted in art holding a vial of holy oil, symbolizing his role in the baptism of Clovis I. St. Remigius is recognized as a patron saint of the region of Reims and is venerated in various Christian traditions.
