St. Lambert of Maastricht
St. Lambert of Maastricht was a 7th-century bishop known for his role in spreading Christianity in the region of Maastricht, which is now part of the Netherlands. He is often associated with the establishment of the Bishopric of Maastricht and is recognized for his efforts in converting local tribes to Christianity.
St. Lambert is also remembered for his martyrdom; he was killed around 705 AD due to conflicts with local rulers who opposed his religious influence. His feast day is celebrated on November 17, and he is venerated as a saint in both the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church.
