St. Jane Frances de Chantal
St. Jane Frances de Chantal was a French noblewoman born in 1572. She is best known for co-founding the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary with St. Francis de Sales. This religious order focused on nurturing a life of prayer and service, particularly for women.
After experiencing personal tragedy, including the death of her husband, St. Jane devoted herself to God and helping others. She became known for her compassion and dedication to the spiritual growth of her community. St. Jane Frances de Chantal was canonized as a saint by Pope Clement XI in 1763.
