St. Hubert of Belgium
St. Hubert of Belgium, also known as St. Hubertus, is the patron saint of hunters and the hunt. He was born in the 7th century and is often depicted with a stag, symbolizing a famous encounter he had while hunting. This experience led him to convert to Christianity and dedicate his life to the faith.
St. Hubert became the Bishop of Liege and is credited with founding the Abbey of Stavelot. His feast day is celebrated on November 3rd, and he is revered in various regions, particularly in Belgium and France, for his contributions to the Church and the hunting community.
