St. Dominic Savio
St. Dominic Savio was an Italian teenager born on April 2, 1842, in Riva di Chieri, Italy. He is best known for being a student of St. John Bosco, the founder of the Salesian order. Dominic was deeply committed to his faith and demonstrated exceptional piety and leadership among his peers, even at a young age.
Dominic Savio died on March 9, 1857, at just 14 years old. He was canonized as a saint by Pope Pius XI in 1954. His feast day is celebrated on May 6, and he is recognized as the patron saint of choirboys and juvenile delinquents.
