Squadrons
A squadron is a military unit typically consisting of a group of aircraft or ships. In the air force, a squadron usually includes around 12 to 24 aircraft and is responsible for specific missions, such as combat, reconnaissance, or training. Squadrons are often organized into larger groups called wings, which can contain multiple squadrons working together.
In naval terms, a squadron refers to a formation of ships that operate together for a common purpose, such as patrolling or engaging in combat. Squadrons can vary in size and composition, often including different types of vessels like destroyers, submarines, and support ships. Both air and naval squadrons play crucial roles in military operations and strategy.
