Spokane Indian Reservation
The Spokane Indian Reservation is located in eastern Washington, covering approximately 157,000 acres. It is home to the Spokane Tribe of Indians, who have lived in the region for thousands of years. The reservation includes diverse landscapes, such as forests, rivers, and mountains, providing a rich environment for wildlife and cultural practices.
Established in the mid-1800s, the reservation was created through treaties between the U.S. government and the Spokane Tribe. Today, the tribe works to preserve its cultural heritage while also engaging in economic development, including ventures in tourism and natural resource management, to support its community.
