Spirit Board
A Spirit Board, often referred to as a Ouija Board, is a flat board marked with letters, numbers, and other symbols. Users typically place a planchette, a small heart-shaped piece, on the board and lightly touch it with their fingers. The idea is that spirits can communicate by moving the planchette to spell out messages.
The use of a Spirit Board is rooted in spiritualism, a belief system that emerged in the 19th century, which posits that the living can communicate with the dead. While many people view it as a fun party game, others take it seriously as a tool for spiritual communication.
