Spike Strips
Spike strips are devices used by law enforcement to stop vehicles by puncturing their tires. They consist of a series of sharp spikes arranged in a row, which can be deployed across a roadway. When a vehicle drives over the strip, the spikes penetrate the tires, causing them to deflate rapidly and bringing the vehicle to a halt.
These strips are often used in high-speed chases or to prevent vehicles from fleeing a scene. They are designed to be easily portable and can be quickly set up by police officers. Spike strips are an effective tool for enhancing public safety during dangerous situations.
