Speed climbing
Speed climbing is a competitive sport where climbers race to ascend a vertical wall as quickly as possible. The climbing route is standardized, typically featuring a height of 15 meters for men and 10 meters for women. Athletes use specialized techniques and equipment to maximize their speed and efficiency.
Competitions are held on artificial walls, and climbers are timed from the moment they start until they reach the top. International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) governs the sport, and it has gained popularity, especially after being included in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
