Speed Eating
Speed eating is a competitive eating practice where participants consume large quantities of food in a short amount of time. Competitors often train to increase their capacity and speed, using techniques such as breaking food into smaller pieces or drinking water to help swallow. Events are usually timed, and the person who eats the most within the set time wins.
This activity is often featured in competitions, such as the famous Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, held annually on the Fourth of July. Speed eating can pose health risks, including choking and digestive issues, and is not recommended for casual eaters.
