Spanish America
Spanish America refers to the territories in the Americas that were colonized by Spain from the late 15th century onward. This includes countries in Central and South America, as well as parts of the Caribbean. The region is characterized by a rich cultural heritage that blends Indigenous, African, and European influences, particularly from Spanish culture.
The term also encompasses the historical period of Spanish colonial rule, which lasted until the early 19th century when many countries gained independence. Today, Spanish America is known for its diverse languages, traditions, and vibrant societies, with Spanish being the predominant language in most countries.
