Space Treaties
Space treaties are agreements between countries that govern activities in outer space. The most significant of these is the Outer Space Treaty, established in 1967, which outlines that space exploration should benefit all humanity and prohibits the placement of nuclear weapons in space. It also asserts that celestial bodies cannot be claimed by any nation.
Other treaties, like the Rescue Agreement and the Moon Agreement, address issues such as the rescue of astronauts and the use of resources on the Moon. These treaties aim to promote peaceful cooperation and prevent conflicts in the exploration and use of outer space.
