Space Jump
A "Space Jump" refers to a high-altitude jump from the edge of space, typically above 100,000 feet. This extreme activity involves a skydiver wearing a specialized suit to protect against the harsh conditions of the upper atmosphere. The jump is often conducted from a balloon or spacecraft, allowing the jumper to experience free fall before deploying a parachute for a safe landing.
One of the most famous space jumps was performed by Felix Baumgartner in 2012, when he jumped from approximately 128,000 feet. His jump broke several records, including the highest free fall and the first person to break the sound barrier without an aircraft. This event showcased advancements in aerospace technology and human endurance.
