Space Dogs
"Space Dogs" refers to the dogs that were sent into space during the early years of space exploration, primarily by the Soviet Union. The most famous of these was Laika, who became the first animal to orbit Earth in 1957 aboard Sputnik 2. These missions aimed to study the effects of space travel on living organisms.
The use of dogs in space missions helped scientists gather valuable data about the challenges of space travel, including radiation exposure and weightlessness. Following Laika, several other dogs, such as Belka and Strelka, were also sent into space, contributing to the understanding of how living beings could survive in outer space.
