Space Blanket
A Space Blanket, also known as a thermal blanket or emergency blanket, is a lightweight, heat-reflective material designed to retain body heat. Made from a thin layer of Mylar, these blankets are often used in emergency situations to prevent hypothermia. They are compact and can easily fit in a backpack, making them popular among hikers and campers.
Originally developed by NASA for use in space missions, the Space Blanket reflects up to 90% of a person's body heat back to them. This feature makes it an essential item for outdoor activities, emergency kits, and even in medical settings to keep patients warm.
