Soyuz spacecraft
The Soyuz spacecraft is a series of crewed and uncrewed vehicles developed by the Soviet Union and later by Russia. It is designed for missions to low Earth orbit, including transporting astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS). The spacecraft has a long history, with its first flight occurring in 1967, and it has undergone several upgrades over the years.
The Soyuz consists of three main sections: the orbital module, the descent module, and the service module. The descent module is where astronauts sit during launch and re-entry, while the orbital module can remain in space for extended periods. Known for its reliability, the Soyuz has been a key player in human spaceflight for decades.
