Soyuz 15
Soyuz 15 was a Soviet space mission launched on August 1, 1974. The mission's primary objective was to dock with the Salyut 7 space station. The crew consisted of Commander Viktor Gorbatko and Flight Engineer Gennady Strekalov.
During the mission, the spacecraft successfully reached the station, but the docking attempt failed due to a malfunction. As a result, the crew had to return to Earth after only 7 days in space. Despite the unsuccessful docking, the mission provided valuable data for future Soyuz missions and contributed to the development of space station operations.
