The Southern Stingray is a flat-bodied fish found in shallow coastal waters of the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. It has a broad, diamond-shaped body and a long, whip-like tail, which can be up to twice the length of its body. These rays are typically gray or brown, allowing them to blend into the sandy ocean floor. Southern Stingrays are known for their gentle nature and are often seen gliding gracefully along the seabed.
