Sorites Paradox
The Sorites Paradox is a philosophical problem that arises from vague predicates, such as "heap." It questions how many grains of sand are needed to form a heap. If one grain is not a heap, and adding one grain to a non-heap still doesn't make it a heap, at what point does it become a heap?
This paradox highlights the difficulties in defining concepts that lack clear boundaries. It challenges our understanding of categories and prompts discussions in areas like logic, philosophy, and linguistics, as it illustrates the complexities of language and classification in everyday life.
