Sophia Amalie of Brunswick-Lüneburg
Sophia Amalie of Brunswick-Lüneburg was a German noblewoman born on March 24, 1628. She was the daughter of George, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg and Anne Eleonore of Hesse-Darmstadt. Sophia Amalie became the queen consort of Frederick III of Denmark when they married in 1643, and she played a significant role in the Danish court.
