Sooty Tern
The Sooty Tern is a seabird known for its striking black cap and white body. It has long, slender wings and a forked tail, making it an agile flier. These birds are often found in tropical and subtropical regions, nesting on remote islands and atolls.
Sooty Terns primarily feed on fish and squid, which they catch by diving into the water. They are known for their loud, distinctive calls and can travel long distances in search of food. These birds are also highly social, often nesting in large colonies.
