Son House
Son House was an influential American blues singer and guitarist, born on March 21, 1902, in Mississippi. He is best known for his powerful voice and unique slide guitar technique, which helped shape the Delta blues genre. House's music often reflected themes of hardship and spirituality, drawing from his experiences in the Deep South.
In the 1930s, House recorded several tracks that would later become classics, including "Death Letter Blues" and "Preachin' Blues." His work inspired many later musicians, including Muddy Waters and Robert Johnson. After a period of obscurity, House experienced a revival in the 1960s, performing at festivals and influencing a new generation of blues artists.
