Sokollu Mehmed Pasha
Sokollu Mehmed Pasha was a prominent Ottoman statesman who served as the Grand Vizier from 1565 to 1579. Born in 1505 in the Bosnian town of Sokollu, he was originally a Christian who converted to Islam. He played a crucial role in the administration of the Ottoman Empire, overseeing military campaigns and diplomatic relations during a period of expansion.
