Sogyal Rinpoche
Sogyal Rinpoche was a Tibetan Buddhist teacher and author, best known for his book, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying. He was born in 1947 in Tibet and later fled to India after the Chinese invasion. Sogyal Rinpoche became a prominent figure in the dissemination of Tibetan Buddhism in the West, establishing the Rigpa organization to teach and support practitioners.
Throughout his life, Sogyal Rinpoche emphasized the importance of meditation and the understanding of death and impermanence. However, his legacy has been marred by allegations of misconduct, leading to significant controversy and discussions about ethics in spiritual leadership within the Buddhist community.
