Snake Boat
A Snake Boat is a traditional long canoe used in the state of Kerala, India. These boats can be up to 100 feet long and are designed to accommodate a large crew, often consisting of around 100 rowers. They are typically made from wood and are known for their unique, elongated shape, resembling a snake.
Snake boats are famous for their participation in various boat races, particularly during the Onam festival. These races attract many spectators and showcase the skill and teamwork of the rowers. The boats are often elaborately decorated, adding to the festive atmosphere of the events.
