Sméagol
Sméagol is a fictional character from J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium, primarily featured in "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings." Originally a river-dwelling creature, he was transformed into the more sinister Gollum after discovering the One Ring, which granted him longevity but also corrupted his mind and body.
Sméagol's personality is marked by a struggle between his original self and the darker influence of the Ring. This internal conflict drives much of the story, as he seeks to reclaim the Ring while also showing moments of vulnerability and longing for his lost humanity.
