Slovenian League
The Slovenian League, officially known as the PrvaLiga, is the top professional football league in Slovenia. Established in 1991, it features ten teams competing in a round-robin format, where each team plays the others twice, once at home and once away. The league operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the 2. SNL, the second tier of Slovenian football.
The season typically runs from July to May, culminating in a championship playoff. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion and qualifies for European competitions, such as the UEFA Champions League or the UEFA Europa League.
