Sled Dogs
Sled dogs are specially trained canines used for pulling sleds across snow and ice. Breeds like Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes are popular for their strength, endurance, and ability to work in harsh conditions. These dogs have a thick double coat that protects them from cold temperatures, making them well-suited for winter activities.
In addition to recreational sledding, sled dogs are also used in competitive events like the Iditarod race in Alaska. Teams typically consist of several dogs, each with a specific role, and they work together to navigate challenging terrains while maintaining speed and efficiency.
