Skyway System
The Skyway System is an elevated pedestrian walkway network located in downtown Minneapolis. It connects various buildings, shopping centers, and public spaces, allowing people to move around the city without having to go outside. This system is particularly useful during the cold winter months, providing a comfortable way to navigate the urban environment.
Spanning over 9 miles, the Skyway System features glass-enclosed walkways that link more than 80 city blocks. It enhances accessibility for residents and visitors, making it easier to reach offices, restaurants, and entertainment venues while avoiding harsh weather conditions.
