Sisera
Sisera was a military commander in the ancient Near East, known for leading the army of Jabin, the king of Canaan. He is prominently featured in the biblical Book of Judges, where he is depicted as a formidable opponent of the Israelites during a time of oppression.
His defeat came at the hands of Deborah, a prophetess and judge, and Barak, an Israelite leader. After fleeing the battlefield, Sisera sought refuge in the tent of Jael, who ultimately killed him, marking a significant victory for the Israelites and a turning point in their struggle against Canaanite domination.
