Sir Vivian Richards
Sir Vivian Richards is a former West Indian cricketer, widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of the sport. Born on March 7, 1952, in Antigua, he played international cricket from 1974 to 1991. Known for his aggressive batting style, Richards scored over 8,000 runs in Test matches and more than 6,700 runs in One Day Internationals (ODIs).
Richards was a key player for the West Indies during their dominance in the 1970s and 1980s, contributing to two Cricket World Cup victories in 1975 and 1979. He was knighted in 1999 for his contributions to cricket and remains an influential figure in the sport today.
