Sir James M. Barrie
Sir James M. Barrie was a Scottish playwright and author, best known for creating the beloved character Peter Pan. Born on May 9, 1860, in Kirriemuir, Scotland, he became a prominent figure in literature and theater during the early 20th century. His works often explored themes of childhood and imagination.
Barrie's most famous play, Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up, premiered in 1904 and has since become a classic. He was also a member of the Literary Club and had friendships with notable figures like Arthur Conan Doyle. Barrie was knighted in 1913 for his contributions to literature and passed away on June 19, 1937.
